  • My Buddha Art

Posted by admin on October 22nd, 2010 and filed under Arts and Crafts | No Comments »

I continue to paint Buddha Art just because it feels right to me inside.

Since then I have sold over 123 buddha based paintings. I picked buddha because I am a buddhist. I believe in Buddha’s message of peace and tranquility. This buddhist saying inspires me to continue to create buddha art Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.. I paint him because that is how I help spread Buddha’s message to the world. My paintings are an expression of what I have within me. Every time I finish a painting I find that it always has an element of something greater than I could have imagined, which leads me to believe that what I have in me is greater than I can comprehend.

    Calgary Landscape Design – Factors

Posted by admin on October 20th, 2010 and filed under Arts and Crafts | No Comments »

So you are planning your new Calgary backyard and trying to decide if you need a landscape design or not.

Some of the Calgary people just want the patio done up and the others might want the entire backyard done in the most wonderful of landscapes.

The next thing that comes to your mind is do I need to get a Calgary Landscape Designer on board or is it possible for me to do it myself?

Calgary landscape is certainly a piece of art if done by the right person and professionally.

Firstly, Calgary landscape is an art that is best dealt with by professionals. Although on the face of it, it might look pretty simple, actually it is not. The abstractness that is associated with a form of art need not be everyone’s cup of tea.

For some reason, some things just look good, while not the same can be said for others. It is hard to put into words really, but it is very true.

What happens is that when you actually draft the design of the Calgary landscape on paper it looks hunky dory and good enough. But, when you actually start implementing it that is when the problem arises.

The concern here is that when you are working out the design on paper you can erase the errors but in actuality this is not really possible. When you are into Calgary design it is not a simple task.

There is an old saying that goes like written in stone and that is absolutely true for Calgary landscapes as when you design using stone you can’t undo it certainly.

Therefore, it is suggested that if you have a Calgary landscape to be implemented then you decide everything right from scratch and ensure that you have a professional working at it, someone who certainly knows the ropes and will be able to ensure quality.

How do you find out if you have it in you to become a Calgary Landscape Designer?

    1) Can you draw?

This is really a pertinent question as you will have to come up with scale drawings.

Ensure that you have studied the shape of the yard well enough before you go ahead with the drawings.

Scale is very important so you can properly estimate materials and proportions

Many different computer programs will help you with these things to ensure that you will get the yard you always dreamed of

    2) How much do you know about plants?

Plants take a long time to grow and mature. Especially trees. In so many mature neighborhoods in Calgary you see amazing trees have to be cut down because of spacing considerations.

Therefore, it is imperative that you know everything about plants. There are trees that take as much as 25 years to grow back again and one wrong move on your part is going to ruin all of this.

The plants that you use need to be in sync with the surroundings.

When you use plants that are found in Calgary you will be able to lend them a helping hand and help them in their growth and ability to flourish and continue to live and grow.

When you go ahead to plan your Calgary home you will be able to budget the move as you will be able to design the Calgary landscape yourself. This will allow you to be able to change from home to the backyard and ensure that your family has the perfect space needed to enjoy quality time together and sit-outs for several years.

Best Approaches to Enjoy the Accordion

Posted by admin on October 16th, 2010 and filed under Arts and Crafts | No Comments »

My kids were performing a project on different musical instruments at school. The culmination of this project was a show given by students and their parents of a variety of kinds of musical instruments. As the accordion is not widely played I volunteered to demonstrate the instrument.

The accordion lessons I had discovered online had given me a solid basis and allowed me to progress to performing familiar music. The accordion is a great instrument to perform on your own as it truly is effectively a one-man band, with the tune being played with the keyboard plus the backing sound made by the buttons. It can be also quite uncomplicated to generate a reasonable noise when you’ve learned the fundamental methods. For this factor I absolutely propose these accordion lessons in order to learn to play the accordion.

PPC – Crafting Successful Ad Content

Posted by admin on October 16th, 2010 and filed under Arts and Crafts | No Comments »

The most important tip that you need to keep in mind as AdWords advertiser is to test the various elements of your copy, again and again to enhance the results. Your ability to test well will also hinge on your ability to know what to test and the quality of your ad copy. So, no matter how good your ad conversions become, it’s still smart to keep testing for even better results. Higher conversions will follow if you can find something about your business or product that is highly distinctive and serves to separate you from the other competitors. There are many advertisers who believe that you can succeed in your PPC campaign if you simply copy ads of the top advertisers. You’ll have a tough time convincing people you are distinctive when you copy ads from other marketers. You can definitely take ideas from your competitor’s ads and adapt from them when you’re creating your ad copy. But you copy other ads as it is, word by word, then your ad loses its value because it’s not unique. What many lazy PPC advertisers do is come close to copying other ads as there are some words changed here and there. Consider that the reader may become confused if they see what looks like multiple ads. This is why the searchers go for those ads that tend to stand out from thinking about the best spinner.

The Joys Of A Seasonal Garden in Calgary

Posted by admin on October 14th, 2010 and filed under Arts and Crafts | No Comments »

Calgary Albera is defined by seasons. So are the gardens found in Calgary. Most importantly, if you are a gardener, make the most of each season in your garden.

Passion is a word that could define a Calgary Gardener

We only have short season to enjoy our gardens in Calgary. So as a Calgary Gardener, I like to make the most of the short gardening season.

This starts with paying attention to your garden needs and desires during our sometimes long, but mild Calgary winters. Winter is a time for reflection.

On the other hand, Spring is a time to celebrate the dawning of new life once again!

The warm smell of lilacs permeating many Calgary Gardens on a nice spring day is what I look forward to every year. A passing bee loves to stop from flower to flower collecting nectar from a favorite Calgary garden.

Ecosystems come alive as vibrant colors re-emerge with only a small number of Garden plants.

With the dawning of spring, suddenly your pets have more energy as they leap around the newly greened yard.

It is Spring! It is back.

I am convinced that Mother Winter has one purpose; to allow Calgary Gardeners to plan for the next season.

Calgary has a growing season of about four to five months. When winter hits, Calgary and city gardeners are used to a phenomenon called a Chinook.

They cause the temperature to increase a few degrees in the winter, which you’d think would be good, but for Calgary Gardens, they are bad. Damage can be caused to some Gardens Calgary plants because they sometimes think spring is coming. This is especially bad for out of zone Calgary Garden Plants.

Another issue can be caused by Calgary Chinooks. Warm blowing air from these Calgary Chinooks can cause your plants in your Calgary Garden to lose moisture.

Cedars are one particular Calgary garden plant that should be wrapped with burlap if you want any hope whatsoever of survival.

After the winter season in Calgary, spring arrives and gardens rejoice with life.

Perennials that have sat silent form month explode their Calgary Garden holdings with colors and scent.

Trees and shrubs that have stood cold all winter, get to breath fresh air and bask in a typical Calgary sunny day.

As a Calgary Gardener, I have learned like all seasons. This includes Winter and the so called dreaded Chinook.

Enjoy this winter to its fullest, and make sure you have the best garden you have ever had next spring!

On the other hand, it might makes some sense to invest in some indoor plants to help with your inspirations.

Best of Joy to your Gardening experience!

Calgary Landscape Design – How to go about it

Posted by admin on October 12th, 2010 and filed under Arts and Crafts | No Comments »

When you decide it is time to start working on your backyard, there are a few things that you will want to consider.

There are many Calgary landscape design companies, but you will also find many small landscaping suppliers that will help you with your plans.

When drawing up your plans, there are some things to take into account.

Draw out what you plan to do make sure you draw in any permanent structures that cannot be moved such as fences, your house, and maybe pathways.

Figure out what you want to add. Mark in the items you want to add to your yard such as plants, benches, structures or anything else.

Are you designing your yard to a specific purpose, such a sanctuary for yourself, or a haven for birds?

If that is the case, what do you need to achieve this?

Make sure you know your budget. Do you have a number of what you can comfortably afford to spend?

Is your yard going to cost more than this, if so, maybe you need to consider spreading the work out over two years? If this is the case, you will need to determine what work needs to be done in each year.

Figure out what areas of the yard get the sun and the shade, and determine the best plants for each area when planning out your Calgary landscape design.

To help you determine the best plants, you will want to find out the hardiness region you are in, and then which plants will work best in the region.

Check if any permits are required before you begin work. A quick call to city hall or their website should tell you. Any Calgary landscape design company will also know about permit rules and regulations.

In some cases you may be on your own.In other cases you may be working with a landscape company.

Even if you prefer to do a lot of work by yourself, it likely will be beneficial to meet up with a landscaper once or twice for advice on trees, plants or shrubs.

Make sure you ask the supplier of your plans if they provide a warrantee on the items you buy, as sometimes the new plants do not grow.

When working with the Calgary landscape design company, being able to show them pictures of your yard as well as the plants you like, will help them in planning out your yard.

Of course, they should be visiting your yard before the work starts, but it allows them something to start with.

If you are working with a landscaper, there will be several meetings before any work is started on your yard.

Make sure to check references with other people that have used the same Calgary landscape design firm.

Ask any questions you may still have on the design, plans, or anything else that concerns you

Once the work is started, there is no going back.

Whether you do the work, or a Calgary landscape design company does it, you will greatly enjoy the outdoor space when complete.

In the summer, it will be like an extra room at your house, and it will also increase your property value.

It is amazing how a gardener in Calgary can plant only a few plants to achieve vibrancy and vitality.

Your pets suddenly have more energy as you let them outside to play around the garden, on a warm spring day in Calgary.

It is Spring! It is back.

Maybe winter was invented so that Calgary Gardeners may have time to think about what they are going to do next summer in their garden.

Calgary has a growing season of about four to five months. When winter hits, Calgary and city gardeners are used to a phenomenon called a Chinook.

Some people like Chinooks because they keep us from deep freeze temperatures all winter, but for gardeners, this can spell disaster for plants. Plants staying dormant thinking is winter can come out of their shells, let their guard down, only to be hit with the next winter storm, completely vulnerable.

Calgary Chinooks pose another problem for gardens. The wind. Due to the pressure variance associated with Calgary Chinooks, high winds can dry out plants in your gardens.

Cedars are one particular Calgary garden plant that should be wrapped with burlap if you want any hope whatsoever of survival.

Once mother winter has her time, it is time for spring, when gardens in Calgary becomes alive and vibrant again.

Color bursts from the newly formed foliaged from Calgary Garden Perennials.

Where to start with your Calgary Landscape Design?

Posted by admin on October 12th, 2010 and filed under Arts and Crafts | No Comments »

You are on your Calgary patio, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping and there sits that yard that you have been meaning to do something with for the longest time.

You take a deep breath and think about a landscape design that would fit your needs and the Calgary climate.

A couple questions to ask when deciding on what do with your Calgary landscape design.

Firstly, How do I go about designing a Calgary Landscape that will look visually pleasing yet take into account functional characteristics such as plant spacing and proper stable building techniques?

Secondly, where is the best place in Calgary to find a Landscape designer that can take the raw canvass of your yard and turn it into a beautiful work of art that will suite your budget?

Well, the first place to start is to decide if you are qualified for the job. Landscaping is an extremely labor intensive job to do, even with a design that is designed by a professional landscaper.

Doing things more that once is not good. That is why we get designs in the first place. This is detrimental to your success in Calgary.

After you have picked your designer you need to take into account aesthetics and functionality, when creating a design for your Calgary landscape.

In terms of looks, your yard must be easy to look at. Things must come together so that the whole is better than the sum of the parts.

Experienced Calgary Landscape have a name for this. This is called having a smooth transition from house to home. The easiest way to do this is to have smooth flowing curves in the gardens and hardscapes. Hardscapes are things like patios, waterfeatures and other such things.

After designing for a beautiful Calgary Landscape you need to take into account functionality.

How are you going to design a landscape that will stand the test of time?

Well, we are lucky in Calgary. We have a lot of clay. This can be a Calgary gardener’s worst nightmare, but for designing a solid landscape with stable hardscapes, Calgary is a great location because Calgary clay is stable. Just make sure when altering your landscape, replace any sub base you take out with a solid gravel/sand mix that is compacted super well.

Other functional considerations when designing landscapes in Calgary.

What plants does a designer have to choose from that are native to the Calgary area?

Also, what spacing requirements are needed for your design to ensure that your plants will not be over crowded with time?

All this requires an artistic eye and a little bit of experience to make happen.

If you do not have experience, I would recommend hiring a professional landscape designer.

Although, from my experience some of the most talented Calgary Landscape designers didn’t have a formal education. They had a natural talent for designing landscapes and knew the Calgary area very well.

All the best with your journey to create the yard of your dreams .
